Clear terms, with no surprises.
These Terms of Use explain your access to Wait Out, including the app, website, and related account and purchase services.
By using Wait Out, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What does Wait Out provide?
Wait Out is a supportive companion for getting through urges, understanding patterns, and seeing progress. Daily check-ins are optional and never control your progress timer.
After a slip, only the current count restarts. Earlier progress and milestones stay with you.
Who is Wait Out for?
You must be at least 18 to use Wait Out. Use the service only where it is lawful and where the relevant app store makes it available.
Store availability, purchase options, and external professional-support services can vary by country. The age rating shown by a store is separate from this minimum-use policy.
What are my account responsibilities?
An account is required to save your first habit. You can use the sign-in options offered in the app, and you are responsible for protecting your credentials and keeping access to your linked provider or email address.
Use an account you are entitled to access. Contact support if you suspect someone else has accessed it; never share your password or password-reset link with support.
Is Wait Out medical or emergency care?
No. Wait Out is not a medical device, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency service. It does not replace qualified professional care or local emergency services.
Progress, time reclaimed, and money saved are estimates based on the information you enter. Insights describe recorded activity and associations; they do not predict an outcome or guarantee a change in behaviour.
Choose tools that are safe and comfortable for you. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
What stays free, and what can be Pro?
Urge support, basic progress and insights, safety information, and professional support resources stay available without Pro.
Pro can add deeper pattern and coping insights when there is enough activity. Paying never becomes the price of getting support during an urge.
Free supports one active habit. Pro can add multiple active habits and deeper insights; the paywall explains the access included with the available offer.
How do subscriptions and purchases work?
Prices, currencies, offer eligibility, renewal dates, and purchase status come from the App Store or Google Play. They may vary by account or region.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them in the relevant store settings. A lifetime option, when offered, is a one-time purchase tied to that store account. RevenueCat keeps entitlement status in sync so access can be restored.
Before confirming a purchase, review the store’s price, billing period, renewal terms, and any trial conditions. A trial is offered only when the store reports that your account is eligible.
Manage or cancel subscriptions through the store that billed you. Deleting the app or your Wait Out account does not cancel billing; refund requests follow the store’s process and applicable consumer rights.
Who controls the information I add?
Your habit names, reasons, notes, and recorded activity remain your content. You permit Wait Out and its service providers to process that content only as needed to provide the features you use, as described in the privacy policy.
Only add information you are entitled to provide. Avoid entering someone else’s sensitive information or content that infringes their rights.
How may I use Wait Out?
You may use the app for your personal wellbeing and habit support. Do not use it to break the law, access another person’s account, bypass purchase or security controls, or interfere with the service.
The app’s code, design, and supplied content are protected by their owners’ rights. Using the app does not transfer ownership of those materials to you.
Will every feature always be available?
Service availability depends on your device, connection, and the services used for sign-in, sync, and purchases. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every feature will work on every device.
After initial setup, core urge tools and cached progress are designed to work offline. External support links and account operations still need an internet connection.
Sync is optional. You are responsible for exporting records you want to keep before removing the app, especially if those records have not synced.
How can I stop using Wait Out?
You can stop using the app at any time. To remove the cloud account, use Delete account in Settings, then Your data, and complete the verification and confirmation steps.
Export records you want to keep first and cancel any subscription separately. If you cannot sign in or complete deletion, email hello@waitout.app for help.
Do these terms affect my consumer rights?
These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Store purchase terms apply alongside these terms, including any mandatory refund or cancellation rights.
For an app downloaded from Apple, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a separate custom agreement is supplied in the store.
How is my account data handled?
Account and app data follow the privacy policy. Sensitive writing and support interactions stay out of analytics. Settings includes export and deletion controls.
How can I ask about these terms?
Email hello@waitout.app with questions about these terms or your account. Product and purchase help is available on the support page.
We may update these terms as the service changes. Updates will be published here with a revised date; if a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it before that change applies.
